Ecapsa turns books you own into audiobooks you can read and listen to. This policy explains what data the app handles and why. The short version: your books are yours, we don't run ads, and we don't sell your data.

Your account

You sign in with your email address (using a one-time code) or with Sign in with Apple. We store your email address and a display name so you can sign in and sync across devices. Authentication and data storage are provided by Supabase. Sign-in code emails are delivered by Resend.

Your books and reading data

When you import a book, its text is processed to create chapters, generate narration, and keep your place. Synced to your private cloud library (visible only to you, protected by row-level security) are:

• Book metadata, chapter text, covers, and generated audio
• Highlights, notes, and reading progress
• Your app settings and voice preferences

You confirm at import that you own the rights to the books you upload. We never read, share, or use the contents of your library for anything other than providing the service to you.

Narration

To generate audio, chapter text is sent from our server to a text-to-speech provider. Only the text and your chosen voice are sent — no account identity attached. The audio comes back to you and is stored in your private library.

Usage limits

We keep a per-account count of audio hours generated and books imported so we can enforce the free plan's limits and Ecapsa Plus quotas. These counters record amounts only, never content.

Payments

Ecapsa Plus subscriptions are purchased through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your card details. We store only your subscription status (whether Plus is active and when it expires).

What we don't do

• No ads, and no selling or sharing of personal data
• No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs
• No use of your books or data to train AI models

Deleting your data

Deleting a book in the app removes it and its audio from your cloud library. To delete your account and all associated data, email [email protected] from your account's address and we'll remove everything within 30 days.
